 Sheila Caviggiola
Special Agent - FBI Chicago
Weapons of Mass Destruction Coordinator

Sheila Caviggiola has been a Special Agent with the FBI since 2016 and is currently the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Coordinator for the Chicago Field Office. The WMD team is responsible for all investigations related to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive threats. Sheila is also a member of FBI Chicago’s Hazardous Evidence Response Team (HERT).  Prior to joining the FBI, Sheila was an R&D chemist working to develop sensors that detected toxic gases using liquid crystal technology. She also worked as a bench chemist conducting pharmaceutical and medical device testing for product release. She has a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.
