As you may have already heard, today the US Supreme Court in a 5-4 decision struck down OSHA’s Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) dealing with vaccine and mask mandates for large employers.  OSHA’s ETS, which was issued November 5, mandated businesses with 100 or more employees to ensure that their workforces are fully vaccinated.  However, the US Supreme Court allowed a vaccine mandate to stand for medical facilities that take Medicare or Medicaid payments.

As a result of this decision, it’s expected the Illinois Department of Labor’s COVID-19 vaccine and testing mandates will be withdrawn.
