These researchers are predicting the number of cases and deaths in Illinois will continue to rise until the mid/later part of April under these IHME Projections.
In addition, the Chicago Sun-Times has this updated daily graph providing information on the total positive cases and the number of fatalities since the crisis began.
McCormick Place “Hospital, Other Facilities Coming Online. As you may know, CICI has been helping to secure equipment needed to turn McCormick Place into a temporary hospital. It was announced today that in less than a week’s time, 500 rooms and beds have been assembled along with 14 nursing stations, and full support rooms for supply storage, pharmacy needs and housekeeping. By the end of the month, 3,000 beds are expected to come online. This Crain's Chicago Business article contains a video clip and additional information on this undertaking.
