Each year it becomes increasingly difficult for educators to obtain resources that afford students the opportunity to gain hands-on, real-life experiences in the exciting and rewarding world of science. All too often, discovering the magic of STEM is confined to textbooks and whiteboards.

Forty-nine years ago, the Chemical Industry Council of Illinois and high school teachers bridged the gap between industry and education by developing an innovative Industry/Education Partnership Program. The Career Conference gives students a new perspective on everyday life through STEM interactive demonstrations, presentations, and interviews with industry representatives from a wide range of careers and backgrounds. Please help us foster an interest in STEM among your students that will lead them to become tomorrow’s scientists.

The Career Conference will be open for two days to allow for greater student participation. Enrollment is limited and dependent on the number of industry booths, so please register as soon as possible. Enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration extended to October 6, 2023. Once your registration has been reviewed and processed, you will receive an email with your confirmation letter attached. We will do our best to provide you with your first choice of time slots. The behavior policy must be signed and returned to us by October 6, 2023. If we have not received the required signed forms, your registration will be canceled. By registering for this conference, you are agreeing that this is a school event and photos and videos of your students can be used in our education outreach and promotional videos. Schools that register late will be added to the Conference waiting list and enrolled as scheduling permits.
